The new season in the UK has started off with a bang with 4 Championships, a Final Eliminator and an Eliminator in the first month.

England’s Heavyweight rising star, ANTHONY JOSHUA, won the vacant Championship beating Scotland’s previously undefeated GARY CORNISH  whilst countrymen JOSH WARRINGTON at Feather, JOHN WAYNE HIBBERT at Lightwelter and BOBBY JENKINSON at Superbantam all were successful.

Warrington made his mandatory defence against Australia’s JOEL BRUNKER, Hibbert defeated Champion, England’s DAVE RYAN his previous conqueror for the vacant Title whilst Jenkinson stopped countryman, LEWIS PETTIT for the vacant Title.

Meanwhile,  former Bantam Champion and recipient of the prestigious Dennie Mancini Trophy, South African, TSHIFHIWA MUNYAI defeated fellow countryman OSCAR CHAUKE to earn a mandatory challenge for Warrington’s Featherweight crown and in Accra, EMMANUEL QUARTEY defeated ISAAC NETTY to set himself on the road to challenge new Superbantam Champion JENKINSON.

ANTHONY JOSHUA’S scheduled defence against previous amateur conqueror, DILLIAN WHYTE of Jamaica on 12th December is reportedly a sell-out already and may well turn out to be the ‘Contest of the Year’
