The Hon Secretary attended a garden party on 10th July in the gardens of Marlborough House, Pall Mall held to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the forming of the Commonwealth Secretariat, along with Commonwealth diplomats and dignitaries, and representatives of other Commonwealth accredited organizations.
The guests were served in the sunshine with champagne and other drinks, and feasted on the buffet bar provided, entertained by musical bands representing different Commonwealth countries. The event was hosted by HE Kamalesh Sharma, Commonwealth Secretary-General.
Following the official Featherweight Championship Eliminator between JOSH WALE(England) and DAI DAVIES(Wales) that took place in Rotherham on 30th May a number of complaints were received by both the CBC and the BBB of C including one from the manager of Davies, Dai Gardiner about the score of sole scoring Referee John Latham in favour of Wale, 96/95.
The poor performance of Kenyan challenger, African Boxing Union Champion DANIEL WANYONI (see RESULTS) has been the subject of correspondence between the Hon Secretary and both Kenya Professional Boxing Commission CBC Director the HON REUBEN NDOLO and Tanzanian Professional Boxing Commission Ltd CBC Director ONESMO NGOWI who is also the IBF representative for Africa.
Both Mr Ndolo and Mr Ngowi, along with fellow East African CBC Director for the Uganda Professional Boxing Commission CELESTINO MINDRA are active in seeking to raise the standard of the sport in East Africa and to ensure the best of that part of the continent get Commonwealth opportunities and their plans will be the subject of consideration by CBC Directors during the course of the next Annual General Meeting scheduled to take place on dates to be confirmed in September or October.
Featherweight Champion JOSH WARRINGTON (England) has been ordered to defend his Title against Australian JOEL BRUNKER.

Retiring President, DR M P NGATANE (South Africa) having served his 2 year term, formally handed over to new President, FRANK HADLEY (Australia) who will serve for years 2015 and 2016.
Both were presented with the CBC Presidents Pendant, the formal badge of office.
